f your major is in Engineering, Natural Science, College of Health, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) at Lehigh University, you can apply for the 2026 STEM-SI summer program.
What it is:
STEM-SI is a 10-week research-intensive program held on Lehigh University’s campus. It collaborates with existing summer programs (for example, Mountaintop, ATLSS) and offers faculty mentoring in research experiences for undergraduates across STEM fields.
What you’ll do:
There’s a range of available opportunities, from working as part of a multidisciplinary team to assisting with research in an individual faculty member’s lab.
What you’ll get:

➝ Participation in a broad community of STEM scholars at Lehigh
➝ A boost in your professional development skills
➝ An increased awareness of the breadth of opportunities for students in STEM fields such as graduate school, professional training, and private and public pathways.
➝ A stipend of $6,000, which includes a $500 housing and meal subsidy.
