Carlos Romero Publishes Book on Advances in Ultra-Low Emission Control Technologies for Coal-Fired Power Plants

Carlos Romero is a part of I-CPIE and the Director of Lehigh’s Energy Research Center.

Congratulations to Carlos Romero, from the Institute for Cyber Physical Infrastructure & Energy (I-CPIE) and Director of Lehigh’s Energy Research Center, on the recent publication of Advances in Ultra-Low Emission Control Technologies for Coal-Fired Power Plants. Romero co-edited the book with Youngsheng Zhang, Dr. Tao Wang, and Wei-Ping Pan, professors at North China Electric Power University’s School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering.

Romero has over 25 years of experience in power generation research and is leading technological advancements in the power generation sector in the U.S. Advances in Ultra-Low Emission Control Technologies presents key technologies available to control emissions from power plants, focusing on the imperative need to manage and reduce the pollutants exhausted by coal-fired power plants and helping in transitioning these assets to a green future. This book joins other journal and conference publications Romero has written on the topic.
