Founding Partners Meeting

Lehigh University’s Institute for Cyber Physical Infrastructure and Energy (I-CPIE) welcomed its Founding Partners to campus on October 31st for its inaugural Founding Partner meeting.  Founding partners are organizations that have long-term interests in I-CPIE associated technology areas and who have unique strengths and market experience, with strong potential to collaborate with Lehigh on mutually beneficial endeavors to drive innovation, and to create social and economic value from this innovation.

The meeting, held at the Wood Dining Hall within Iacocca Hall on Lehigh’s Mountaintop Campus, brought together 13 Founding Partners along with over 40 I-CPIE faculty from various disciplines across the Lehigh community.  The meeting an overview presentation on I-CPIE by I-CPIE Director Richard Sause and I-CPIE Associate Director Shalinee Kishore that highlighted the developments to-date for the institute along with the technical direction moving forward.  I-CPIE Founding Partners presented on their respective organizations, including their visions for the future in the areas of infrastructure and technology.  The meeting concluded with a strategy discussion centered around the Founding Partners and the future direction of the institute.

I-CPIE Founding Partners include: Argonne National Labs, Blaschak Coal, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), High Steel Structures, IBM Watson, Ingersoll Rand, Modjeski and Masters, MPR, OSIsoft, Pennoni, Peoples Gas, PPL, Prospect Silicon Valley, and Santa Clara VTA.
