If you are an undergraduate student studying in a STEM field and you’re interested in doing research (or you know someone who fits that description), this is the summer program for you.

Lehigh University’s STEM-SI summer session pairs undergraduate students with research-active faculty members, giving students the opportunity to develop research skills during the 10-week summer program. Students also attend faculty seminars, learn about lab safety and ethics, and hone their writing and presentation skills. The program culminates with Research Day, when students present their work and celebrate all they’ve achieved.

See the poster for details about the program’s mission, dates, stipend, contacts, and application links for both students and faculty. (Links are also below.)

Previous students say:

“From observing my faculty mentor, I have learned how to approach science and research–especially how to be okay with failure and learn to troubleshoot problems.”

“I really learned how to work with people. We all have different projects in the lab, and use different software systems, but we still come together to help each other.”

“This summer definitely opened my eyes to what is possible with bioengineering. This has shown me what I can do with my education post-Lehigh.”

“I thought this research was going to be one-and-done. But the more research I do the more curious I am and the more questions I have. I just want to pursue this further and see what happens.”
